Halloween Spooktacular

We are the only finalists from Scotland to get this far in the competition, so we are thrilled that we can officially describe ourselves as the best fish and chip restaurant in Scotland!! This is the 1st time TAILEND has entered a national competition like this, so to achieve such high recognition so quickly is amazing! 🏆 We will now battle it out with the other 9 finalists to hopefully place a Top 5 position. We should find out the results later in the month! Kinlochbervie Scrabster Fraserborough Peterhead (on the mainland) Lerwick on Shetland G & A also buy direct from boats before the fish reaches the market ensuring we receive only the best quality and freshest fish. 95% of all TAILEND's fresh fish is processed through our own fish house in Arbroath. The fish served at TAILEND can come from any of these sources depending on the time of year, quality and availability. Shetland provides us with the biggest percentage of the fish we sell; boats land there on a daily basis which provides us the opportunity to select the freshest and best quality fish. Shetland/Scottish waters: All caught by MSC registered boats (The North Sea is a MSC registered area). These waters supply us with Haddock, Cod, Lemon Sole, Plaice, Hake, Turbot, Monkfish, Langoustines, Mackerel & Herring. We supply fish from warmer climates also, Indian/South Pacific Ocean: Red Snapper, Tiger & King Prawns. We also stock a selection of farmed fish. Despite the misconception that farmed fish is a bad process, it actually helps support the natural sealife ecosystem. It can help support the fishing industry and maintains supply and demand without upsetting sealife population. Farmed Fish we stock include; Salmon & Mussels - Shetland Seabass & Seabream - Turkey or Greece Oysters - Holland For our more exotic seafood selection we put our trust In AC RAMSAY ABERDEEN. AC supplies us with Seabass, Seabream, Tuna, Swordfish, Clams & Oysters. Our Lobster & Crab is courtesy of Gordon Spinks old shipmate Neil Teviotdale, Arbroath. We are very proud of our fish heritage and we feel it gives our restaurants a unique position from others in the same industry.
