On Monday Night we held our business welcome evening.
Open to local businesses and our local suppliers. We wanted to show our suppliers and other guests our new restaurant and to show who/what we are offering our customers.
It was fantastic to meet lots of new faces and potential business collaborations. Lots of events and collaborations in the planning already.
We had a great evening and received really positive feedback from all our guests. Everyone loved the new restaurant and are excited to see the success of our St Andrews restaurant (hopefully) brought over to Dundee.
We were very graciously supplied goods from our suppliers to create a beautiful display of all our locally sourced products. Clarks bakery very generously donated mini filled rolls, wraps, Dundee cake and also various assortments of breads. All of which they make themselves - and were extremely tasty. These were a huge hit with our guests on the night.
Ogilvy Vodka created a great display showing us how they make their vodka and what makes them different to the norm. We also had samples of their amazing perfect pour cocktails to hand round! We love any opportunity to have a cocktail or 2, wether thats to celebrate the end of the week or the end of the day, Ogilvy Perfect Pours are fab- highly recommend you try one the next time your in.
Raith Fruit also donated this HUGE, fruit basket.
Full of wonderful, fresh, exotic fruit. We will use all of this fruit in dishes on our menus. Creating different chutneys, salads and experimenting with garnishes for our cocktails and gins. This was a beautiful gift from Raith, their produce is always amazing!!
We also had a little botanical bar set up using Eden Mill Gin.
Allowing guests to make their own flavours in the gin. This showcased how our use of various garnishes and different combinations of garnishes in each of the gins can bring out different flavours and how we can tailor the garnishes to compliment the dishes on our menu.
Of course we want to show off our own specialities!
Our chefs created canapés ranging from crayfish cocktail, bruchetta , arancini, cheesecake, chocolate brownies and lime panna cotta which luckily all went down very well over the evening.
Thank you so much to everyone who made it along. It was lovely to meet so many new faces and catch up with some old friends.
Tailend Dundee is now completely open and we look forward to welcoming many more of you through our shiny, new doors.
